Andrews Water Heaters (known simply as 'Andrews' to many) is a market-leading manufacturer of water heaters and boilers for commercial and industrial applications of all sizes. Established in 1976, Andrews offers several unique products, such as the MAXXflo and the SUPAflo EVO as well as a range of cylinders, HIU's, and a wide range of accessories.

Thermocouples are electrical devices that respond to temperature changes by changing their voltage output. They are used in many heating systems and are responsible for opening/closing the valves that control the supply of fuel, whether liquid or gas. If the pilot light or flame were to go out in a heating appliance, they would close the valve so that the supply is halted. This is why they are regarded as safety devices.

The main signs of a faulty thermocouple are issues with the pilot light and the heating sporadically switching on/off. The main defects are damage to the sensors or the tubing. Thermocouples are manufactured in a wide range of configurations, and some can cope with extremely high temperatures. They can last up to a decade or more with the correct maintenance.

Injectors are devices that manipulate the speed at which the gas passes into the burner or the pilot assembly. By controlling this, it helps to ensure that only the necessary amount of fuel is used.
