Tied Mounts

Anti vibration mounts, often referred to as 'AV mounts', are relatively compact, simple components that are used to reduce vibration in a number of scenarios, notably in industrial machinery and within vehicles. AV mounts are able to reduce vibration levels by between 70% and 95%. By reducing vibration, they help to increase machinery lifespan, protect structures/surroundings, and enhance operator comfort.

Most AV mounts are made from rubber, but in some cases, they can be made from synthetic materials in order to provide enhanced protection. When deciding which mounts are best, you will need to take into account factors such as total supported weight, load distribution, equipment disturbing frequency, whether the application is static or mobile, and environmental factors.

There are a number of different types of AV mounts available. The range includes bushing mounts, cylindrical mounts, and conical mounts.

Bushing mounts are usually made from a combination of bonded rubber and metal. These can absorb dynamic and static vibration. These are used in motor vehicles, together with heavy and light duty equipment.

Cylindrical mounts are good at vibration isolation and noise dampening for passive and active vibrations. They are usually made from heavy-duty natural rubber and stainless steel, and are also known as rubber bobbin mounts.

Conical mounts are relatively new and extremely effective for demanding environments. They can deal with extreme loads and excessive G-Force. These can be found in vehicle transmissions, engines, and in construction equipment.

Here at Heating and Plumbing World, we stock a range of products that are designed to reduce vibrations, including anti vibration mounts as well as flexible connectors. Flexible connectors are able to reduce vibration and noise levels caused by the component to which they are fitted and can be used on commercial goods or systems carrying chilled or heated water.

Delivery times and costs vary based on stock availability and location. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to help.
