Approvals for Natural Gas and LP Gas in vapour state
Approved to EN751-1 by DIN-DVGW NG 5146AR0574 from –20° C to +150° C up to 2” pipe size.
Meets the pressure specification requirements of EN751-2 (part 1 is for Anaerobic substances Part 2 is for traditional jointing pastes)
Note: EN751 or in UK – BS EN 751 1997 is the Standard for sealing materials for metallic threaded joints in contact with 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases and hot water
In three sections depending on the type used Part 1 Anaerobic, Part 2 for Non hardening jointing compounds and Part 3 PTFE Tape
Although Clessetite is an Anaerobic Part 1 it has many properties of Part 2 – Allowing joints to be dismountable without permanently locking the joint which is a requirement of Part 2 Non-hardening.
Pressure requirements are equal to or better than those required in Part 2 up to 20bar pressure.
Approvals for potable water.
BS6920:2000 by WRAS for use with cold and hot water (85°C) Note: allow assemblies to cure 24 hrs before potable water contacting.
