Motorised valves are an essential part of any central heating system, allowing the flow of water from the boiler to be diverted between different zones of the system such as space heating and hot water.

We can supply a number of different zone valve products to suit a wide range of needs. We stock both the 2 port valve type and the 3 port valve type. We also supply motorised valves with a spring return as well as mid-position types. A mid-position valve allows two zones to be fed at the same time or for the flow to be diverted to either of the two zones, a so called 'Y plan' system.

This means a different design of the system than a 2 port valve which simply offers on/off flow control. In an indirect system, therefore, with a hot water cylinder and radiators, you would need a pair of 2 port valves to do the job of a 3 port mid-position valve but you lose the flexibility of feeding both zones together; an 'S plan' system. However, S plan systems are useful in larger properties where you may, for example, want to have upstairs and downstairs radiators as separate zones to give you greater control over the heating system.

Our motorised valves have compression fittings and come complete with electrically powered actuators and are manufactured by well-known brands such as Honeywell and Sunvic.
