Reflex Expansion Vessels

Reflex expansion vessels are special tanks that are used in plumbing and heating systems. They help to manage the pressure changes that occur when water is heated or cooled. Inside, these vessels have a rubber membrane that divides the tank into two parts. One side holds water from the heating system, while the other has pressurised air or gas.

The main benefit of a reflex expansion vessel is that they stop the system from becoming damaged by too much pressure. When water heats up, it expands and without an expansion vessel, this could cause pipes to burst or other parts to fail. The vessel gives the extra water a place to go and keeps the pressure levels safe. Installing a reflex expansion vessel can also help your boiler system to work better and last longer. They reduce wear and tear on pipes, boilers and other parts, and this means fewer repairs and replacements are needed over time. Another significant benefit is that they can stop annoying noises like banging pipes or kettling sounds from boilers. Reflex expansion vessels are also easy to fit, and they don't need much looking after. They work automatically, so you don't have to do anything once they're installed. They can also be used in a range of buildings, from homes to commercial settings.
