Kingspan Direct Cylinders
Direct cylinders are used in instances where the cylinder is the only means of heating water in a property. They can heat water for use in baths, kitchen sinks, showers, hand basins, and any other appliances in the property that rely on hot water. Kingspan direct cylinders are available in a range of shapes and sizes and Kingspan direct models can be used in residential or commercial settings. All direct cylinders contain at least one electrical/immersion element which heats the water that is stored in the cylinder. At the very least, these cylinders will contain a single 3kW heating element, but as the capacity of the cylinders increases, it is possible to add more elements (to speed up the heating up of the water). For example, a 210 litre cylinder could accommodate 4 x 3kW heating elements - this would also significantly shorten the recovery time. Direct cylinders are very well insulated, meaning they can use a night time/economy tariff supply to heat up the water more cheaply overnight, and then that water remains warm and can be used the following day. The Kingspan Ultrasteel direct cylinder has a built-in thermal expansion space that provides 14% more hot water than an external expansion vessel. The water is provided at mains pressure, making it ideal for power showers. The Kingspan Ultrasteel direct cylinder is available in a wide range of capacities and is economical to run and maintain. The Kingspan direct unvented cylinder range provides mains pressure hot water at a high flow rate - meaning they are ideal for family homes. They are reliable, easy to install, and are made from ‘Duplex’ stainless steel (providing excellent corrosion resistance).
