Kingspan Indirect Cylinders
When considering purchasing a water cylinder, it is important to know whether you would be best served by a direct or indirect model. The difference is essentially how the water is heated. Indirect cylinders do not heat the water directly. Instead, the water is heated inside the cylinder thanks to an external source such as a gas (or electric) boiler. This boiler is linked to the cylinder. When the water is heated up, it is sent around a coil that runs through the indirect cylinder. Some indirect cylinders do have an element inside them, but this is to boost the speed of the heating process rather than taking on the main heating role. Kingspan indirect cylinders are designed to rapidly heat up via the coil-in-coil heat exchanger. The heat can be supplied from a gas, electric, or oil boiler. They also feature a backup immersion heater. The Kingspan indirect cylinders are made from high-grade materials and offer reliability, functionality, and good value. The Kingspan unvented indirect cylinder range are made from Duplex stainless steel and are designed to provide mains pressure hot water to satisfy your hot water demands now, and for many years to come. Being unvented means that the Kingspan unvented indirect cylinder is connected directly to the mains and there is no need for a cold water tank. The Kingspan Ultrasteel indirect cylinder is a great solution if you need hot water for domestic appliances/applications. It provides mains pressure hot water, an excellent flow rate, can be used with oil or gas boilers, is economical to run and maintain, and has foam lagging to minimise heat loss. All Kingspan indirect cylinders and direct cylinders are made from stainless steel and come with a 25-year guarantee on the basic vessel (subject to T&C's).
